Teacher Description

Anna, wholeheartedly, believes in the power of yoga to transform one’s life in all
aspects: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Her personal practice
helped her feel whole. Recognizing yoga’s healing ability, Anna began her 250-hour
Foundational Vinyasa teacher training in Philadelphia at Wake Up Yoga Studio in
order to be able to encourage others to find their own path towards presence
utilizing yoga and mindfulness skills. While she was studying yoga, Anna received a
Master’s Degree in Public Health at Drexel University. There, she studied trauma-
sensitive yoga extensively. Anna works as a full-time yoga teacher and supports a
non-profit organization, Transformation Yoga Project, which brings yoga and
mindfulness to individuals in recovery and within the criminal justice system. Her
teaching style of yoga is a blend of Yin (Passive/Restorative) and Yang (Active
Vinyasa) to cultivate a deep connection and understanding of one’s body, breath,
mind and spirit and find balance. Currently, Anna is also pursuing her Yoga Therapy
