Teacher Description

Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a kid and my mom would take me to class in the local park with her. Most days I was more interested in playing on the swings. When I became an adult, the seed my mother had planted sprouted and I began my practice as a way to eat more cookies! Consistent practice has uncovered many layers to the practice and I’ve enjoyed the benefits of yoga physically, mentally and spiritually. I have been fortunate to be the student of several styles of yoga over the last 15 years and the practice I lead incorporates these with attention placed on alignment, compassion, anatomy and physiology. I have spent the last 12 years working as a nurse and now choose to focus my energy in health care and chronic disease prevention by teaching yoga and advocating a plant-based diet.
