Mindful Living: Core Mindfulness Skills

Description: 2 hour event for quality instruction & learning of core mindfulness skills to implement in the context of your own life. You will learn concrete skills to use to improve your mindfulness practice.  Mindfulness is proven by research to reduce and decrease anxiety, stress/worry, depressive symptoms; improve physical well-being, & cultivates ability to become more present.

Bio: Learning & instruction is taught by Gretchen Valudes, MA. Gretchen has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and has worked in both clinical and research settings within the mental health field since 2006. She is experienced and trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which is founded off mindfulness skills, and currently holds Certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (M-BSR).

A mental health clinician by day, Gretchen has extensive experience and training in teaching and implementing mindfulness to both individual and group settings. She found that mindfulness was very effective in helping clients, and realized that sharing the gift of mindfulness with the larger community was needed.
