Finding solace in the form of community, I began a regular yoga practice in 2009. As my practice evolved, I started to notice major shifts in the way I felt and the way that my relationships improved. As an elementary school teacher, my teaching style changed as my yoga practice deepened. This had a powerful effect on my students. Eager to better understand this, I completed the Connection Coalition training (formerly Yoga Gangsters) with Terri Cooper, bringing yoga and mindfulness practices to at-risk youth. This further ignited my passion for experiencing and sharing the healing and transformational benefits of yoga. In 2015, I received my 200hr Hatha Yoga certification with Beyond Asana in Philadelphia. As a group we raised funds and traveled to Haiti to build a primary school. This experience strengthened my commitment to self-inquiry and community building through conscious service.
I seek to connect the subtle and physical through thoughtfully aligned and creatively sequenced classes.
