The Heart of Hanuman: Movement, Restoration, Devotion, & Wisdom, Sonia K., Saturday, 3/25, 1:30-3:30 pm
HaNUMAN
Known for both his mischief and maturity, his sweetness and sincerity, Hanuman is a form of the divine who is both approachable, and beloved by many. His lilas (divine play or stories) are an inspiration for our own growing bhakti (devotion). He shows us the power of love in action, and how an open heart can inspire all aspects of our lives.
An Afternoon of restoration, devotion, and wisdom
Sonia will guide you through a yoga practice centering inner stillness, softening, and rejuvenation. This restorative approach to entering the heart space encourages a state of availability and receptivity, which allows you to fully bask in its sweetness! Poses will be primarily seated and supine, and incorporate generous use of props and support. Sharing stories and pastimes is a nectar- nurturing, sweet, and rich with sustenance. A way to not only restore our bodies, but our hearts, minds and spirits as well. Sonia expertly weaves storytelling and mantra throughout the workshop. You will experience the epic tales and also learn how they can directly impact and transform your daily life off of your mat.
This workshop is accessible for all Students. The Exchange is $40 per Student and Students that are Members of WEYS will receive an automatic discount totaling in $37 for the afternoon. Props and mats are provided. There is a limit on the total number of Students to ensure that there is enough space and props for ease and comfort for the afternoon.
